The colors and design in these beads are stunning! These awesome rainbow-esque beads hail from Nepal and are created using the chevron glasswork technique. Chevron beads are made using a layered glass technique that creates a beautiful striped effect. This is one of those strands of beads that I couldn't walk away from and I was tempted to keep them for myself to wear daily.
They remind me of old African Chevron beads; they've got that rich old-world feel.
Extremely brilliant in color, in beautiful condition, and the perfect shape for using in jewelry, these beads are something to be treasured. They are perfect for making jewelry or wearing as/is!
This listing is for 1 strand of approximately 50+ beads. The strand is strung in a loop, they way they are traditionally strung in Nepal, approximately 24" long (20" of beads with 4" of twisted string at the top).
Bead sizes and shapes vary but they measure approximately 8mm wide.
The hole on these measures 1mm+.
**As many of my products come from Nepal, a portion of my proceeds will be donated to the Unicef and Americares Nepali relief efforts. **
