This strand has a great colorblock stripey combo in blue, teal green and pink. They are a perfect length and color combo to wear by themselves or layered with other necklaces. These fabulous beads are made in Africa from Vulcanite, a material that was used to make vinyl records. They are known as Vinyl Record Beads, since they are made from the same material. Natively, they are called "jigida beads," which is a really fun name to say!
Bead Size: Approx. 4x.5mm
Hole Size: 1mm
Strand Length: 32"
Color: Blue, Teal Green, Pink
These beads hail from Mali, where women wear them around their waist, to help them hold their shape. The awesome patterning on this one makes it really POP! It is getting harder and harder to find these strands in good colors like this one, especially in this tiny size. There are HUNDREDS of beads on this 32"+/- strand.
So perfect with the current TRIBAL fashion trends.
These are strung into a loop, which is how they are traditionally sold in Africa.
