These fabulous beads are made in Africa from recycled vinyl records. They are vintage, and hail from Mali. Women wear them as belly bracelets. Really vibrant green and red color, with scattered Chevron and Millefiore beads.

Each strand is 8x.5mm thick.

There are HUNDREDS of beads on each 31"+/- strand.

The ends of the strands are all braided together at the back with 5.5" of extra thread on each side, so that you can tie this necklace together at anywhere from 32-38" long.

Vinyl Record Beads are made in Africa from Vulcanite, a material that was used to make vinyl records. They are known as Vinyl Record Beads, since they are made from the same material. Natively, they are called "jigida beads," which is a really fun name to say!
These beads hail from Mali, where women wear them around their waist, to help them hold their shape.

So perfect with the current TRIBAL and bohemian fashion trends.
These fabulous beads have also been worn by actress Africa Miranda, star of the show The New Atlanta.
