These fabulous vintage beads hail from Mali, Africa. They are commonly known as "vinyl record beads," though they are made from vulcanite, which is a compressed rubber product that was commonly used in the Victorian period to make jewelry. Women in Mali wear these beads as belly bracelets.
The beads in this listing are an incredibly vibrant color of PINK, and they are tiny, approximately 3x1mm thick. They are super-long strands too There are HUNDREDS, if not thousands of beads on this 33"+/- strand.
To find these beads in pink is becoming harder and harder. And in such a delicate little size!
This listing is for 1 strand; I do have quite a few at this time, but they are hard to source. If you need multiple strands, please convo me.
**A portion of my proceeds will be donated to V-Day, a global activist organization dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.**
