This fabulous cording has gotten an amazing response from all kinds of crafters, jewelry makers, and mixed-media artists. I am not sure what it is used for traditionally in India, but I'm sure you can come up with a perfect use! The adornment possibilities are endless: jewelry, crochet, altered couture, paper arts.....get inspired and create!
It is woven in a spiral around a center bunch of cotton threads. It is somewhat hollow feeling, and has a nice slinky texture to it. The colors have an ombre effect, changing from pink to mustard yellow, to a grayish blue.
This listing is for 1 spool that measures 15 meters, or 16.4 yards.
This beautifully embroidered trim comes from India. I hand-select these beautiful trims from a huge storehouse in India, where there are 7 stories of trim from floor to ceiling. I'm like a kid in a candy shop over these beauties- the colors are overwhelming! When I first found them, I didn't know what I would do with all of them, but I knew I needed to bring them home. I'm so happy I can share them with you!
**As many of my products come from Nepal, a portion of my proceeds will be donated to the Unicef and Americares Nepali relief efforts. **
