So easy on the eyes, and perfectly soft and aged, this striped ikat cloth is handloomed by the Baoule people in the Ivory Coast of West Africa. Perfect for creating that boho or jungalow style in your surroundings.
This beautiful cloth is vintage, hand-dyed and woven, then stitched with neon embroider thread. It is a strip cloth, meaning it is made of individual strips of cloth that are stitched together.
This particular cloth has 10 strips. This cloth would be beautiful as a wall hanging, or would be great for other decorating projects.
This cloth is in beautiful vintage condition, except for one place where the stitching has come apart between the strips (see photo #4). This could easily be stitched back together. I have gently washed this cloth with care, so it is ready for your creative endeavors!
Textile measures 39" wide x 55" long. There is fringe on both of the selvedge ends.
