Count Your Mantras: Black Leather & Brass Mala Counters, 1 pair
The quality on these traditional mala counters from Kathmandu, Nepal is incredible. Supple black leather is looped and knotted to hold 10 white brass Counter beads, a Dorje on one counter, and a Bell on the other. Traditionally strung on the sides of a mala, as a tool to count the number of times one has gone around the mala, reciting a mantra.
Make your own meditation, make your own magic with these. Why not use them in your jewelry-making projects, or as other forms of adornment?
The Buddhist Dorje symbol that is on one counter, symbolizes compassion. The bell on the other counter symbolizes the wisdom that realizes the emptiness. Both are needed to attain enlightenment.
You will receive 2 counters. Each one measures approximately 4". You can loop and tie these onto your own jewelry, or use them for other creative projects.
**As many of my products come from Nepal, a portion of my proceeds will be donated to the Unicef and Americares Nepali relief efforts. **
