Cowrie Shell Gypsy Bracelet: Vintage "Banjara" Indian Kutch Jewelry

This is the real deal.....totally bohemian, totally awesome, and with Cowrie Shells!!

This is a vintage Indian tribal bracelet, from the gypsy people in the Kutch District of western India. Known for their colorful dress and style, these are some of the original nomadic peoples. This bracelet has been worn and loved by a nomadic person, and it shows some dirt and wear; it undoubtedly has many years left in it.

This bracelet measures 9" from end to end. It closes by tying 2 braided pieces of string together. It is made of a hand stitched cotton cord that has been stitched into loop with cowrie shells on the outside. There is a beautiful cowry shell tassel that hangs from both ends. This piece is full of bohemian magic.

The handiwork on this is incredible.
Perfect for adding a Boho flair to your current wardrobe. This would be great at a bracelet, choker necklace, anklet, purse charm, keychain, wall-hanging, candle decoration....the possibilities are endless!
